Kick Fada
The 16th annual Bray Emmets Kick Fada competition will take place on Saturday, September 26th this year with a host of the county's and the country's leading kickers expected to attend.

The club had originally intended to hold the only All Ireland GAA occasion annually hosted in Wicklow on September 12th but due to the fact that nine players from Bray will represent Wicklow in the All Ireland U-21 B final v Meath on that day, it was decided to avoid a clash of fixtures.

Saturday September 26th will be a poignant All Ireland Kick Fada as this is the first year that Tom Walsh, who passed away earlier this year, will not be at the centre of  activity alongside Pat Wogan running the event among the players.

As a former president of the club and outstanding GAA man, the club has decided to present the Tom Walsh Perpetual Cup to the winner of the men's competition in recognition of the high regard and respect Tom was held in by everyone.

In the competition itself, Longford's Damien Sheridan will be endeavouring to make it a hat-trick of titles following his world record breaking kick last year.

The Kick Fada competition will take place on Saturday 26th of September at 1pm. More details to follow. Please check our Facebook page.

Match Reportts

U8 Girls Football

Newtown Blitz

Our last football blitz in Wicklow was held in Newtown.  There was a great turnout with 12 teams from around the county.  We played three matches against Newtown, Tinahely and Baltinglass.  We hadn' played or trained for a few weeks and it showed with a slow start against Newtown.  But we picked it up and came back for a good win.  We had a great game against Tinahely who are a very good footballing team and we were up against it.  We we traded goals and points and it ended in a draw.  Baltinglass were also a good side and again another close game but we just got pipped by a point, which was scored by our own Orla.  Good performances from all the team but especially Katie, Kate S and Niamh.

Foireann: Aisling O'Keefe, Ciara Lambe, Grace Kennedy, Kate Butler, Kate Slattery, Katie Curran, Kimberly Kennedy, Niamh Canavan, Olivia Gibson, Orla Fitzsimons, Ruby Hannon

Bainisteoir: Alan Kennedy

U 10 Camogie

Bray Emmets v Stars of Erin

A new format being tried in Dublin this term and they have done away with the blitz format.  So we just played one match against Stars in Glencullen.  We were too strong for them and despite giving them some of our players we won the game quite easily.

Foireann: Alannah Harrington, Aoibhe Traynor, April Harty, Cara Mahony, Catherine Henry, Laura Doyle, Emma Nesbit, Jasmine Kennedy, Martha Lackey, Tara Maher.

Bainisteoiri: Ian Nesbit, Tony Doyle, Lisa Mahony.
