Men's Junior A Football Championship

Bray Emmets Vs Shillelagh

Our mens Junior footballers enjoyed their second win in their Championship group on Saturday evening, against Shillelagh in Arklow. Bray rang our eventual winners on a score line of  1-11 to 1-7 in a competitive game, in which Bray worked hard to graft out a win.

Team: Keith Heillick, Mark Mulvaney, Matt Thompson,. James Duggan, Gavin Cahill, Ben McCormack, Fin Greene, Rob Walsh, John Breslin, Peter Walsh (Capt) Donnacha O'Midheach, Ross Masterson, Philip Redmond, Peter Quinlan, Garrett Crowley, Oisin O'Hannaigh, Declan Snow, Andrew Sutton.

Bainisteoir: Ian Smith

Our next league game is fixed for Tuesday 23rd June, in Greystones, against our neighbours Eire Og. Training  for the men's Junior football team takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm.

Junior Hurling

Bray Emmets Vs Kiltegan

The Junior hurlers played Kiltegan,  on June 10th  in Páirc Emmet Bhré. This was a clash against a side that has been topping the league, so Bray were up against it from the throw-in. However, the home side had not read the script. We got off to a great start. The full-back line lead by the experienced Enda McHugh performed very well, with Ed Keating and team captain, Enda Ó Maolmhuaidh superior in the halfback line.

In the second-half, John Ward, David Ebbs and Willie Robinson continued to provide vitals assists and grab hard-come scores. In the final 10 minutess, Bray took the game to Kiltegan and clawed back their advantage, earning a very satisfying draw on the last whistle.

Bhain an lucht féachana áitiúil an-sult as an gcluiche.

Emmet Bhré  1-15,

Kiltegan  3-9.

Foireann: Conor McNally, Shane Anders, Enda McHugh, Alan Sweeney, Enda Ó Maolmhuaidh (Captaen), Ed Keating, Colin Salmon, Willie Robinson, Paul O'Neill, David Ebbs, John Ward, Daniel Kennedy, Brian Lambe, Owen Duffy. Bainisteoirí  –  John Ward agus Pat Lee.

U14 Football

Bray emmets Vs St Nicholas'

The U14 Footballers played a powerful St Nicholas’ Friday 12 June. We began very brightly, with valuable scores coming from Eoin Fitzsimons and Conor Dowling. David Martin and Alex Bartley were also making excellent contributions.

At half-time, there was a hair’s breath between the two teams. Bray continued to show courage in the face of strong swift opposition. Jack Treacy, Mark Cullen, Sam Kearney and Rory Whelan never gave up, demonstrating the heart needed when the going gets tough. Cé gur chaill Emmet Bhré, bhí an bainisteoir sásta ar an iomlán.

Foireann :  Alex Bartley, Oisín Hayde, Jack Treacy, Michael Timmons, Conor Dowling, Conrad Ruddy, Mark Cullen, Nathan Murphy, David Martin, Eoin Fitzsimons, Rory Whelan, Seán McDonagh, Stephen Reynolds, Sam Kearney, Sam Whelan, Oisín Drury.

Bainisteoir –  Niall McGraynor.

U8 Camogie - Bray Emmets Vs Faughs Celtic

Sunday  14th -10.00

This was to be a 3 club fixture but St Anne's no longer have an U8 team. So our 8 girls took on 3 Faughs teams in back-to-back matches. The first match was a good win. The second was unbelievably a draw considering our 22 shots on goal and our keeper falling asleep. But the best was last in a great match. We went 2-0 down in the first so a big team talk at half time to turn things around. We started the 2nd half and immediately went 3-0 down. But with only 5 minutes left the girls went on the attack and we got back to 3-3 with goals from Kate, Grace & Katie. Then another shot appeared to over the line but wasn't given and then Kimberly hit a great strike for the winner, but no, it wasn't given either. So it ended in a great comeback draw. But an official review after the game determined that the last shot was in, so we got the win after all!

Foireann: Aine Hayde, Grace Kennedy, Kate Butler, Kate Slattery, Katie Curran, Kimberly Kennedy, Niamh Canavan, Orla Fitzsimons

U8 Camogie Blitz in Ballinakill

Wed 10th - 6.30

An all-county blitz was arranged for a Wed night, which made a nice change from our usual Sat morning. Was also the first time in Ballinakill for most of us. We played matches against Kiltegan, Arklow and Avondale and had comfortable wins in all three games although there some  young players on some of the teams.

Foireann: Aine Hayde, Aisling O'Keefe, Ciara Lambe, Kate Butler, Kate Slattery, Katie Curran, Lili Neilson, Naoise Sweeney McMaster, Niamh Canavan, Orla Fitzsimons

U10 Camogie - Bray Emmets Vs Kilmacud at Faughs Celtic

Saturday  13th - 2.00

A 6 team blitz had to reduced to 4 team so we only played 2 matches against Kilmacud. Two very good and competitive games were played in a great spirit. The grass was long so getting the ball in hand was a must and Emma & April dominated the midfield in the first game, which we won. A much closer match in the second match and great defence from Aoibhe, Rachel & Jasmine but the whole team put in a great effort. Jasmine also scored at the other end and Alannah was everywhere it seemed to help us to another win.

Foireann: Alannah Harrington, Annie Redmond, Aoibhe Traynor, April Harty, Laura Doyle, Ella Cummins, Emma Nesbit, Emily Ryan, Jasmine Kennedy, Rachel O'Brien, Tara Maher.

Bainisteoirs: Ian Nesbit, Alan Kennedy
