Tree Planting Cermony

On Tuesday, 5th March, the Club had the honour of hosting a tree planting ceremony as part of 'National Tree Week,' an annual, week-long festival celebrating all positive aspects of trees in our lives and environment, organised by the Tree Council of Ireland with the support of Coillte. Guest of Honour Liam O'Neill, Uachtaráin, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael was joined by  Gerard Murphy Managing Director Coillte Forest, Mary Keenan, Director of the Tree Council of Ireland and Dermot O'Brien, Chairman, Bray Emmets GAA Club at the event, one of many held nationwide which will see 20,000 new trees planted across the country to positively contribute to our environment. In addition to the many Club members who attended, our thanks to the girls of St. Patricks and Scoil Chualann National Schools who also took part in the ceremony and were more than happy to pose for the cameras.
