Bray Emmets 3-8 V St. Jude's 3-16
Bray led for much of the first half thanks to an Orlaith Whelan
goal, but two late St. Jude's goals left them 5 points clear at the
break with 2-7 to Bray's 1-5.
A goal from Cathy Waters early in the second half put Bray back
into contention but St. Jude's put together a long sequence of
unanswered points to stretch their lead further. Some fine
goalkeeping from Laura McCarthy with support from Naoise Concannon
and Lauren Barry prevented any further St. Jude's goals however,
whilst strong runs from Tara Brady and especially Aoife O'Donavan,
who had a superb game, in midfield gave the forwards some ball.
Orlaith Whelan, who gave another excellent performance at the
front, availed of this to pick up another goal and a couple of
points to claw back some ground. Unfortunately the late Bray
pressure wasn't enough and it ended with St. Jude's 8 points in
front.

St. Judes Templeogue 4-10 V Bray Emmets 1-3
The Bray girls lost to a very physical St. Judes side in
Templeogue on Sunday. Although the scoring was one-sided, Beth
Cummins' first half goal could have been added to as two other
shots hit the woodwork. Laura McCarthy did sterling work in goal to
keep St Judes in check, but took a knock late in the second half
that helped St Judes pick up their last two goals.
It was a tough first match for newcomers Lauren Barry and
Grace Curham, but like the rest of the team they didn't lose heart
and kept fighting for points to the end.
