Bray Emmets u12 girls in Croke Park

28 April, 2012

Yet another busy weekend for the u12 ladies football team! We had the honour of being asked to play in Croke Park on Saturday 28th April during the half time break in the Wicklow v Fermanagh Division 4 final. This was a really exciting event for the girls most of whom had not played in Croke Park previously. We first went to the dressing rooms to get togged out and then watched the first half of the senior football match. We were then escorted down into the bowels of Croke Park and got to run out through the tunnel on to the pitch! A very good but short exhibition match ensued. All of the girls acquitted themselves well and played with confidence and style. Thanks to all the parents and siblings who came along to support the girls!!

A big thank you to their mentors Anne Carroll and Paul Ryan for seamlessly making sure everything went according to plan on the day.
