Camogie U12 Dublin League (Cluster Blitz)

25 February, 2012

Played: Cuala, Nh Olaf and St Judes

A squad of 22 players turned out in Pearse Park in Crumlin on Saturday to play in the first of the cluster blitz for the Dublin U12 Camogie league. Bray played a very strong Cuala team in the first match and managed through sheer determination and team play to outwit our local rivals and score a much deserved win. Bray Emmets 2:01, Cuala 1:01.

The second blitz pitted a different team against Nh Olaf who are always well organised and dangerous from broken play. The Bray Emmet girls again showed great will power and defensive play to earn a valuable no score draw.

In the final match Bray played St Judes and got off to a flying start with two goals in the first 6 minutes. The Bray girls dominated the remainder of the first half and should have doubled the score before the break. The second half brought a cluster of changes as substitutes were drafted in across the team. St Judes fought back gallantly but Bray held on to earn a 2:0 to 0:0 win.
