Bray Emmets Team (Green Pitch) :

Sid Hunt, Sean MacGabhann, Mathew Dehantschutter, Ronan McMahon, Luca Lennon, Darragh Rochford, Mark Tresson, Andrew O'Brien, David Kennedy.

The under 9's  played away again participating in a friendly with Ballyboden St Endas at their Astro turf pitches at Sancta Maria on Saturday.

On the green pitch Bray got off to strong start despite playing against the wind. They dominated possession but found it hard to convert to scores until Andrew O'Brien scored a great goal. Despite a couple of points from Darragh Rochford, Bray Emmets trailed at half time as Ballyboden finished the half very strongly.

Playing with the wind in the 2nd half Bray Emmets again started the half very strongly and played some great passing football. Great scores from Luca Lennon and Darragh Rochford helped Bray to a healthy lead. The lead would have been even greater had it not been for a couple of fantastic saves by the Ballyboden goalkeeper from great shots from Sid Hunt and Mark Tresson.

Despite Ballyboden finishing strongly Bray were eventual winners. Both teams contributed handsomely to a fine skilful, sporting game of football.

For Bray in defence Mathew Dehantschutter was calm and assured under the dropping ball while Ronan McMahon show some great speed and anticipation in getting out in front of his man constantly winning the ball.

Sid Hunt and Sean MacGabhann played a half each in goals. Their kick outs were excellent constantly finding Bray Emmets players with accurate passes.

Luca Lennon and Darragh Rochford dominated the midfield area while Andrew O'Brien and Mark Tresson worked tirelessly up front where David Kennedy also tried very hard.

Bray Emmets Team  ( White Pitch )

Macdara Ó Midheach, Joe Phelan, Jacob  Stanley, Fiachra Bond, Donnacha Griffin, Cian Lohan, Noah Daly, Luke Kenny, Adam Burke, Conor Plower.

On the "white" pitch it took Bray a little longer to get used to playing on the Astro Turf.  Also, the wind was against Bray for the first half so it really was a game of two halves.

After half time a few players changed position and Bray put Ballyboden under pressure with some great points and goals scored.

There was some sturdy defending from Macdara Ó Midheach, Conor Plower and Jacob Stanley. They were supported well in this roll by good goal keeping performances from Fiachra Bond, Luke Kenny and Noah Daly who found Bray players with their great kickouts.

The midfields and forwards put in fantastic performances with Joe Phelan and Adam Burke supplying great balls to the forwards and Cian Lohan and Donnacha Griffin excelling in their positions.

Finally would also like to thank Ballyboden for their hospitality and compliment them on their excellent facilities.
