U8 hurlers on the road

10 March, 2012

On the bright spring morning of Saturday March 10th, Bray Emmets under-8 hurlers travelled to Frank Kelly Park in Rockbrook to play Wanderers in their second Dublin hurling league. The match started at 11am and was played over four 15-minute quarters. Bray had a great start with their forwards going into attack straight away, resulting in a couple of early goals. Jack and Adam played really well in midfield and passed the ball up to the forwards with ease.

The whole team worked really well together with great determination and focus, making it a very exciting match for both coaches and spectators alike. Rory, Kayleigh and Joshua worked brilliantly together in providing a strong defence for Bray.

Bray put a lot of pressure on the Wanderers defence, who in turn worked consistently hard to keep the sliotar out of the back of their net. Cian and Luke gave some fantastic long shots up the field towards James and Shane, who were more than able to use their skills in effectively directing the sliotar into the net.

It was a wonderful team performance overall -well done everyone!
