Minor Hurling Championship 2014.

2 July, 2014

Emmet Bhré 1.15  Carnew Emmets 1.08
Our Minor Hurling Team started their 2014 Championship Campaign with a narrow win over Carnew Emmets on Wednesday 2nd July in Arklow.  The Arklow Pitch was in great condition and it was a fine evening for hurling.  Canew made a very impressive start and led after 20 minutes by 1.05 to 3 points.  A few positional switches by Bray had the desired effect and for the last ten minutes of the half the Bray lads really upped their game. The half time score was Bray  5pts Carnew 1.05.  The Bray lads continued their improved performance during the entire second half, with some fine points being scored by Bill Moorehouse, Pauric Doyle and Eoin Mc Mahon.  A goal by Eoin Mc Mahon sealed the victory.  This was a good start to the championship for Bray but the management team will be looking for a much improved performance in the next game.  The next game in this championship is in Old Connaught on Thursday  24th July at 7.30 pm V Arklow Rocks. Scorers: P. Doyle 6pts, E. Mc Cormack 1.03, W. Moorehouse 3pts, S. Lohan, C. Rowe, W. Robinson, 1pt
