Big score sees Minor hurlers past St. Pats

28 August, 2013

The Minor Hurlers entertained St. Patricks Wicklow in Páirc Emmet Bhré on Wednesday, 28th August. Bray got off to an explosive start to match with an early goal from Captain Mark Lennon. The tone and pace of the match could not be matched by Pats as Bray reeled of points from Ben McCormack, Pauric Doyle, Conor Doherty and Dara Henderson. Pauric Doyle at full forward was causing all sorts of problems for the St. Patricks full back line and finished the half with a tally of 2-3. Half backs Seanie Maloney, Ishy and Shane Lohan rarely let the ball past in first half and whatever went back was cleared up by Dunnie, Peter Conroy and Shane Anders in the full back line. Bray Emmets led 3-8 to 1-2 at half-time making the team talk quite easy. Four changes were made early in second half with Dara Henderson & Dunnie making way for Bill Moorehouse and Patrick Cunningham. Just after scoring a fine goal, Conor Doherty made way for Daniel Kennedy and Matt Thompson for Liam Benville. Mark Lennon scored another goal with Pauric Doyle adding another two goals. Three points from Bill Moorehouse and one each from Seanie Maloney and Eoin McCormack finished a comfortable win for Bray. Scorers:  Pauric Doyle (4-5); Mark Lennon (2-2); Conor Doherty (1-1); Dara Henderson (0-3); Bill Moorehouse (0-3); Ben McCormack (0-1); Seanie Maloney (0-1); Eoin McCormack (0-1).
Final score: Bray Emmets 7-17 St. Patricks Wicklow 2-7
