Bray 2.09 - St. Patrick's Wicklow 2.05.

Our under 16 footballers got the better of St. Pat's after a close game in the N/E League on Monday 20.4 in Wicklow.  Bray got off to a good start with a goal from Muiris O Floinn but Pats' replied with a goal that was gifted to them by a Bray mistake.  Bray scored another goal from a penalty, converted by Pierce Sweeney but St. Pat's fought back and the score at half time was 2.04 to 1.03 in favour of Bray. Adam Conway, who was returning to the team after injury, scored two points early in the second half which seemed to be putting the Emmet's on top but again St Pats fought back and scored a goal which narrowed the gap to two points with five minutes remaining. Bray rallied with two points to earn their first win. All the backs played well with Philip Haughton playing particularly well on his return from injury.  The midfield and forward players are creating chances but are not converting those chances into scores. They will be anxious to change that in their next match against Arklow Gers/Ballymoney.  Scorers: Adam Conway, 7pts, Pierce Sweeney 1gl, Muiris O Floinn 1gl, David Sullivan Nicky Sweeney 1pt each.  Team: Tadgh Dornan, Cormac O Meadhra, Patrick Tunney, Cathal O Duilleachain, Paidraig Hogan, Philip Haughton, Enda Molloy, Pierce Sweeney, Dan Mc Cann, Luke Maloney, David Sullivan, Daire Lohan, Muiris O Floinn, Nicky Sweeney, Adam Conway, Jim Doyle, Nathan Cardin, Diarmuid Masterson.  Training continues on Monday and Thursday at 6.15pm for Football and Hurling.
