U14 Hurling

31 May, 2014

The U14 hurlers played Naomh Mearnóg in a Dublin league encounter, Sat 31 May. The game began slowly and was very low-scoring from a Bray perspective. Seán McDonagh was showing well at corner-forward, with Donnchadh Griffin-Carroll and Mick O'Gara chasing down every loose ball. However by half-time, the Portmarnock players led 0-5 to 0-1.  The magic water was duly discharged at the interval, and in the minutes that followed Ciarán McKay came back to life. McKay scored 2 fine points, followed by a fortuitous David Maloney goal. The Bray Emmets roadshow was back in town. Battling spirit from Ronan McMahon, solid displays from Andrew O'Brien, Lochlann Dougan and Sid Hunt all conspired to earn a one point victory for us. Tá an fhoireann ag ullmhú go maith don bhféile a bheas ar siúl i gCúige Uladh ag deireadh na míosa seo.  Emmet Bhré  3-5, Naomh Mearnóg  2-7.
