U14 Hurling Feile

26 April, 2014

The U14 Wicklow hurling Féile took place on Saturday 26th April in Ballinakill. Bray Emmets were looking forward and preparing eagerly for these games. Michael Dwyers were first up. James Anders and Cian Lohan got deft first-half goals which helped greatly to settle the team. The second-half saw more great touches from David Maloney, Seán McDonagh and Gavin Henderson. In the second game, Bray was again the better side against a spirited Arklow Rocks. Team Captain Ciarán McKay led from the front, posting 4-4 by the interval with the help of Andrew Conway and Joe Phelan. Ben Kearney's brace, along with Sid Hunt and Rory Lambe were the pick of the second-half contributions. Game three involved the tenacious Avondale, a tussle which saw Ronan McMahon, Lochlann Dougan and Macdara Ó Midheach shine brightest, clearing their lines and applying vital tidy touches. A 20 man panel lined out across the 3 victorious games, and the efforts of all 20 were what pleased the Mentors most. The final will be played against Carnew this Wed 30th.
