U14 Hurlers reach county final

17 August, 2011

Emmet Bhré 6-4 Glenealy 1-6

Last Wednesday night out under 14 hurlers faced Glenealy in the under 14 championship semi final at Kilcoole.  A big performance was required and the team did not let us down. From the start we fought hard and defended brilliantly. In goal Conor McNally made a number of great saves and Dylan Terry was strong as ever at full back, saving a penalty at a crucial moment in the second half.  Also impressive in the backs was Conor O Doherty who had a terrific second half.  In the forwards Cormac Foley and Gavin Dowling were on form contributing many fine scores. With a lead a half time we powered on in second half with McNally on form in the goal and our forwards taking their chances, Ben Hoskin with the final goal to make sure of it. Well done lads.  A big thanks to all our parents for their great support. We are looking forward to a county final in two weeks. All players are asked to make a big effort to make it to all sessions.
