League V St Pats

7 May, 2008

Bray Emmets 2-13, St Patricks  3-4.

Bray defeated St Pats on Wednesday night in Bray in a tough contest. Bray led at hald time by 1-4 to 0-1 after a great goal by Alan Dougan. Bray played the better football overall and dominated the exchanges in the first half particularly the hard grafting Andy Bartley at centre forward.

Andy got an ankle injury at half time and had to be replaced. Just after half time St Pats got 2 quick goals to get themselves right back into contention however Bray kept the scoreboard ticking over with points from play and frees and scored their second goal after a great hand passing movement saw Muiris O'Floinn drive home a great goal. Diarmuid Masterson scored 5 points, 3 from frees and contributed well all night. Jim Doyle had a strong game at centre back and Pierse Sweeney did well in the midldle and even got in on the scoring. Cathal O'Dualachan was outstanding when we were under pressure and caught some great ball in the second and used it really intelligently. We had 22 players and we gave them all a run.Bray Dara Henderson, Ryan Fagan, Muiris O'Floinn (1-0),  Tadhg Devlin, Louis O'Flynn, Jim Doyle, Cathal O'Dualachan, Diarmuid Masterson (0-5), Pierse Sweeney (0-2), Luke Maloney (0-1), Andy Bartley (0-1), Enda Molloy,  Cian O'Byrne (0-1), Alan Dougan (1-1), Dara Lohan (0-2), Kelvin Keane,Marc Lennon, Stephen Kirwan,Christian Dunne,Ben Mc Cormack, Craig Dowling, Ryan Tynan, Josh Connolly.
