Bray Emmets 6-12. Lucan Sarsfields 1-1

On a day of persistent heavy rain Bray Emmets under 13 hurlers played their latest Dublin Hurling League match. Despite the weather the team put in scintillating performance running out winners by a score of 6-12 to 1-1.

Playing initially against the elements the team blasted a couple of early goals with Shane and Adam getting on the end of moves that originated in the backs. These set the tone for the game as the team tried constantly to move the ball around the pitch constructively. At half time the team led 3-3 to 1 goal.

Quintin in nets launched many attacks with his accurate puck outs and was in the main protected by the pacy duo of Simon and Louie. Luan played in between these and used his power to break out of defence. Nathan, Michael and the ever though Conor ran and ran to both provide cover to the full back line and also launch attacks. Gavin and Art in midfield pressed forward when needed and tracked back too with both adding to the score line. The half forward line of Oscar, Tim and Cian sought to run at their opponents at times and move the ball in to the full forward line and they too kept the scoreboard ticking over. Evan inside these players always ran to provide options for all and also added to the score line.

A quick word of thanks must be given to Lucan who travelled in great numbers on a horrible day, they always fought hard and their efforts were not fully reflected by the final score.

Team: Quintin, Louie, Luan, Simon, Michael, Nathan, Conor, Art, Gavin, Tim, Oscar, Cian, Evan, Shane and Adam.
