U13 hurlers take league leaders

1 June, 2013

The U-13 hurlers faced unbeaten league leaders Sylvesters in Páirc Emmet Bhré on Saturday, 1st June. This was a game that was drumming up some excitement as The Evening Herald were also in attendance. The first-half started with a flurry of good scores. Ben Kearney and Sid Hunt did a lot of hard work which resulted in scores for David Maloney and Cian Lohan among others. The Malahide men led at the break but Bray Emmets were kick started into top gear in the second period with towering performances from Ciarán McKay and Ronan McMahon in particular.  The sequence began with an opportune goal from Rory Lambe, quickly followed by goals from Macdara Ó Midheach and the sharp-shooting Joe Phelan. Other modest players very worthy of mention were Donnchadh Griffin-Carroll and Fiachra Bond. This victory was testament to the graft of the U-13 unit, with a minimum of individuals standing out. Míle buíochas do na tuismitheoirí ar fad a thug cabhair dúinn ar an lá. Final score : Emmet Bhré 3-7, Sylvesters  2-3.
