Bray Emmets Vs Whitehall Colmcille

Bray Emmets under 12 hurlers welcomed Whitehall Colmcille to a bright and breezy Old Conna on Saturday. The wind dictated the tone and tenor of the match and Bray had to withstand almost continuous attacks from their opponents during the first half. The score at the end of this half though told the story of their success.

Art in nets let in no goals and the team only conceded 4 points. The backs that lead this effort were made up of Simon, Luan and Jamie in the full backline and Michael and Oscar M in the half backline.

The midfield of Gavin and Oscar H, assisted by the half forwards Evan and Cian compressed the middle of the park and never let Whitehall any easy shots.

The second half told a different story. Bray, now with the wind on their backs, almost immediately levelled the game with Nathan goaling and Gavin pointing after long puck outs by Cian, who was now in nets.

The backline continued their tigerish tackling with Conor now ensconced in the full backline while Quintin, and Eoin backed up by Louie continually kept their goalie busy. Bray added two more goals and a point before Whitehall scored a super goal and a point following determined work by their forwards. Bray however tacked on one more point to close out the game.

The final score was 3goals and 3 points to 1 goal and 5 points.

Team: Art, Jamie, Luan, Simon, Oscar M, Michael, Gavin, Oscar H, Evan, Cian, Conor, Eoin, Quentin, Louie and Nathan.
