Under 12 Hurling

14 June, 2014

On a sunny Saturday Bray Emmets Under 12s had their third league match in Dublin. Playing against a big St Vincent's team Bray started well with strong performances from Sam, Sebastain, Tadhg, Ben and Eoin. The forward line of Rory, Daniel F, Peter, Oscar and Luke battled hard against a well drilled and skilful Vincent's defence with both teams finding scores hard to come by. Cathal and Fionn when he went in goal ensured good accurate ball went into the forward line and Daniel M and Riain played well when they came on. At half time the sides were level with all to play for in the second period.
Bray started the second half well and began to dominate around the middle of the field with Cathal and Sam ensuring good ball went into the forward line. Rory, Peter, Luke, Riain, the two Daniels and Oscar in particular continued their hard work but were finding it hard to get on top of their opponents. The introduction of Philip brought more urgency to the proceedings and Bray engineered a well-deserved goal to give Bray some breathing space. Vincents were not finished however with the defence being asked more questions. Hard work and great defending by Sebastain, Ben, Tadhg, Eoin and Fionn in goals kept scoring chances to a minimum with Bray eventually running out winners.
This was by far Bray's toughest game so far this year in Dublin and it was good to see the lads battling to the end, thanks to St Vincents for making the journey out and to the referree who officiated on the day.
Team: Cathal, Rory, Fionn, Tadhg, Ben, Eoin, Sebastain, Sam, Peter, Riain, Luke, Daniel Flavin, Daniel Munro, Oscar and Philip.
