Goals seal it for u12 hurlers

23 February, 2013

The Dublin Hurling League commenced on Saturday, 23rd February and saw the Under-12's travel to Kevin's GAA club. The warm up was especially necessary as the temperature was hovering around zero degrees. The spectators certainly felt the bitter cold, but the Bray lads are made of sterner stuff and did not seem to notice the weather until a heavy sleet shower visited the ground. The new back line of Peter, Michael and Fionn defended stoutly in front of Rian, who again made a couple of great reaction saves. Davy has added extra accuracy to his long range passing to increase his danger to the opposition and operating in front of the back three was ably assisted by Conor who made several timely interceptions. Rory was his normal busy self in the middle of the pitch, with Gavin, Sean and David N winning the necessary battles. Up front Aaron, Luke and Daragh helped to steer Bray to victory. A special mention must go to Jamie, who despite injuring himself early in the match, played on even though in some discomfort, he only came off near the end of the match, his toughness and resilience would make many a soccer player blush. A great start to the league lads. Final Score: Bray Emmets 4-4 Kevins 3-0
