Bray Emmets         1-14

Nh Fionnbarra 0-5.

Earlier in the year a more skilful Bray Emmets side were overpowered by a stronger Nh Fionnbarra outfit in the U12 Dublin Hurling Cup. On this occasion we had our players well prepared for a good hard tough encounter. They rose to the challenge and responded with some brilliant hurling and were well able physically for our opponents.

Even though Nh Fionnbarra opened the scoring with a point from a free, it wasn't long before Michael Boland equalised. After that Bray never looked back and kept adding point after point to leave the half time score of 1-9 to 0-2 in favour of Bray Emmets. All players put in a great performance. Conor McNally had a good game between the posts making some timely saves. In front of Conor, our defenders including Padraig Doyle, Dylan Terry, Patrick Michel, Dylan Brady, Jack Fitzgerald and Thomas Emms did exceptionally well and gave Nh Fionnbarra forwards very little time on the ball.

Thomas Foley and Liam Benville worked well together at centre field with constant pressure from Thomas and some beautiful stick work by Liam resulting in two great points. Michael Boland was at his best and notched up a total of 1-10, 5 points from frees. Cormac Foley at wing forward was as fast as ever and in full flight is difficult to stop and ended with a lovely point. On the other wing, Mark Davenport is growing in confidence and gave a solid performance. In around the goals, Conor O'Doherty scored a point with Daniel Kennedy trying hard but scores just didn't come his way. Well done to all the players who have now made it 5 wins out of 6 with a final score of 1-14 to 0-5.
