U12 Boys Footballers double header

The U-12 Boys Footballers played two games against Éire Óg Greystones on Thursday, 9th May. In the first game, despite atrocious weather conditions, Bray began brightly with goals from Daniel Falvin and Gavin Henderson giving Emmets the advantage. Josh Pyper did very well in midfield, ably supported by a mobile Mark Cullen. In the second-half, Michael Timmons and Philip Jakob provided a much-needed defensive wall. Seán McDonagh and Seán Cox were equally deserving of plaudits.  Beimid ag imirt i gcoinne An Tóchar sa chéad bhabhta eile. Final score: Emmet Bhré 5-12 Éire Óg 2-9.

The other U-12 Football team, playing into a stiff breeze, were up against it from the start but great defensive work from Conor Hardiman, Sam Kearney, Rory Mulcahy and Cathal Eddy allied with good goal-keeping from Zack Collins ensured goal scoring opportunities were kept to a minimium. Unfortunately, Éire Óg were able to score from distance and in doing so, registered some excellent points. Hard work from Conrad Ruddy, Conor Dowling and Rory Whelan helped bring Bray into the game in the second half resulting in good ball going into the hard working forward line of Rian Mac Maoláin, Oisín Drury, Aaron Graham and Art Whittle Unfortunately, continued good play from Éire Óg ensured Bray were not able to overturn the half time deficit.
