St Nicholas

30 June, 2008

Bray 1-12, St. Nicholas 1-7.

On Monday 30th June we travelled over to Dunlavin to play St. Nicholas'. With a few late injuries we only had 14 players starting the match. Up to the plate steps 9-year-old Conan O'Duill who was there to support his brother Finn. Playing corner-forward he made an outstanding contribution to the match, winning several frees. The match was an acrimonious affair but our outstanding midfield of Eoin McCormack and Ciaran Barnes ran riot, and were ably assisted by free-scoring-just-off-the-ferry Liam Morgan. Cathal MacAodha and Ishmael Mnensa also showed well, with Jordan McGrath moving to centre-forward for a trial in the forwards. Overall, it was a long evening mellowed by a great win. Well done.
