Ten minutes gone, 3 goals down. This was against Kilmacud Crokes in Dublin Division 1 Hurling. That's no joke. Kilmacud forwards were racing through our defenders literally unopposed. But great credit to our players. They kept their cool and heads up. We were awarded a close in free, which Michael Boland crashed to the net. Shortly after, Cormac Foley did the same and suddenly we were back in the game. At half time we were behind by 4-1 to 3-1 but our players were very determined.

From the restart Kilmacud continued tearing our defence apart, scoring some great goals and points. Nevertheless our team never gave up. Ground hurling was now more prominent in our forwards and resulted in some well-taken goals by Conor Prendergast, Conor O'Doherty and Liam Benville. It was game on again. With only 5 minutes now remaining we were behind by 3 points. Michael Boland scored a point from a free and in the dying moments did what Kilmacud had been doing throughout the game. He ran at Kilmacud's defence and with sheer delight to our team scored what was the final goal and indeed final score of the game giving him a personal tally of 4-5. Result, Bray Emmets 8-5  Kilmacud Crokes 8-4. What a game, but not good for the faint hearted.

Training continues throughout the summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-9.
