Eire Óg hurling Go-games

20 May, 2011

Under 10 hurlers played in an Eire Óg hurling Go-games Friday last. The first game was against our Dalkey neighbours, Cuala. Rian Knox and Jamie Baguley gave a great display of skill. We faced Glenealy next, a game where David Nesbitt and Craig Pritchard hurled bravely and with effect. Eire Óg was the final encounter, a game featuring Joe Dillon and Michael Connolly to the forex.
On Sunday, we travelled into Kilmacud Crokes to take part in an Invitational Football tournament. We had close games with Foxrock Geraldines and Cill Mochuda themselves. Our final was played against one of the Crokes teams. It was a splendid contest, really finely balanced. Bray showed great character and grit to win in the end with Conor Dowling receiving the coveted man-of-the-match award.
Beidh muid ag imirt peile Dé hAoine seo chugainn i gCill Mocheanóg ag 6.45pm.
