u10 hurlers V CLG Naas

23 October, 2011

The Under 10 hurlers played down in CLG Naas last Sunday morning. A small but hardy group travelled to this hospitable, good-standard blitz. Naas are a club who have put a lot of work into their hurling and have a proud and successful tradition.

Nevertheless, undaunted we settled smoothly into the first game. Rory Lambe (0-3) opened the Bray account, followed by well-taken goals from Rian Knox, Gavin Henderson and the hard-working Cian Lohan (2-0). Michael Timmons shored up the backline with great effect. Bray won the first encounter scoring (4-3).

The second game, Naas were a different proposition. An excellent David Maloney goal followed by the clinical David Nesbitt, were the high points of the second fixture. However, despite the graft of midfielder Seán McDonagh, Naas were that shade more lively and convincing.

Beimid ag traenáil arís ar an Satharn, ach cuirfidh Larry Timmons ríomhphost amach leis na sonraí.

Emmet Bhré - Cian Lohan (2-0), David Maloney (1-0), David Nesbitt (1-0), Gavin Henderson (2-1), Michael Timmons, Rian Knox (2-0), Rory Lambe (0-3), Seán McDonagh.
