On Sunday morning 14th April, Bray Emmets U-8's Camogie team made their debut in the Dublin U-8's Camogie Blitz at Páirc Emmet Bhré. Our visitors were Kilmacud Crokes and Faughs with each Club providing two teams. Sixteen Bray girls turned up to play and put on a great display, showing many of the skills they have learned from the Academy every Saturday morning. We won games, we lost games, we drew games and we had a lot of fun which is the nature of Go Games. Thanks to our visitors for the sporting games and to our fantastic supporters. Well done to all! The teams lined out as follows:Green Team: Jessica Woods, Julia Jakob, Aoibhe Traynor, Eimear Hardiman, Rachel O'Brien, Emma Brandon, April Morris and Alva.

2004 group play at Croke Park | 27 August, 2012 |
Our 2004 (under 8) squad travelled to the hallowed ground of
Croke Park last Monday morning. It was another day of rain but the
players did not mind in the slightest. We had a great show of
support from parents and mentors. The kids got off to a slow start
I think that was due to the fact they were admiring Croke Park from
the pitch not many of us can say we have done that. The second half
we got into some form and knocked in 2 goals and 4 points to bring
the game to close. There was a lot of skill shown on the day and
would like to congratulate everyone who took part and look forward
to see them play there again someday.

but Bray Emmets team-work paid dividends in the final analysis.

new season. A promising start for a promising and eager young
squad.

Graiguenamanagh | 6 July, 2009 |
A 10 player selection was in Croke Park last week for a game
against Graiguenamanagh from Kilkenny. The experience was a great
thrill for all involved, young and old. The players got an
opportunity to not only play on the hallowed-turf but to visit the
changing rooms too.
The game itself started briskly. Eleanor Carroll-Hayes and Sean
McDonagh cleverly found the Kilkenny net. Out in midfield Davy
Maloney, aided by Michael Timmons, were both being made to earn
their stripes. The duos dug deep and were assisted in no small part
by Gavin O'Shea's reading of the breaking ball. Bray net
minder Oisin Drury was marshalling his defence with good effect and
keeping a squeaky clean sheet. The half finished 7 - 1 in favour of
Emmet Bhre. The half-time team talk was complimented by our
near neighbour, Wicklow and Ireland star, Leighton Glynn.
The second half began with some changes made by managers Larry
Timmons and Brian Lambe. Jamie Baguley came into the play with
re-newed determination and David Nesbitt dropped back to help his
midfield when required. As legs tired, and hearts nearly stopped,
the outstanding contributions of Eoin Fitzsimons and the 2 sided
Rory Lambe brought this great game over the white line at a final
temperature of 10 goals and one point to Kilkenny's 3 goals.
Ni dheanfaimid dearmad go deo ar an la seo. Go raibh mile maith
agaibh do na tuismitheoiri ar fad a thainig chun tacaiocht a
thabhairt duinn.

Ballyboden | 6 June, 2009 |
Ballyboden GAA Club hosted us Saturday morning in atrocious
weather conditions. Nonetheless, 3 Bray teams braved the elements
to kick points and rattle the nets. On one pitch, Leah Carroll,
Carla Lennon and Darragh McCormack were the main movers, defending
and creating in equal measure. Pitch number 2 was backboned by the
endeavours of Gavin Henderson, Jamie Baguley and the ever-improving
Michael Timmons. The conditions often meant the players had to dig
deep. Finally on pitch 3, the compliments of the crowd went in the
direction of the all-round contributions of Rory Lambe and Sam
Kearney.

Newtown GAA club Football Go-Games | 25 May, 2009 |
Newtown GAA club hosted this Football Go-Games last Friday
night. A strong Bray squad travelled: Aaron Graham,
Brian Glass, Conor Hardiman, Brian Nesbitt, David Nesbitt, Eoin
Fitzsimons, Eleanor Carroll-Hayes, Gavin O'Shea, Jamie Baguley,
Michael Timmons, Oisín Drury, Rory Lambe, Sarah Lambe and Seán
McDonagh.
Bray played Enniskerry and two Newtown selections. They were in
a relative comfort zone in all three fixtures, a welcome return for
the winter training sessions which often took place in inclement
weather. Oisín Drury, Conor Hardiman and Seán McDonagh worked
tirelessly showing their defensive and attacking skills. This was a
very strong overall team performance.

| ‘Go-games’ hurling blitz | 16 May, 2009 |
A monsoon weekend almost prevented us hosting this
'Go-games' hurling blitz last Saturday. However, the elements could
not keep back the deluge of eager hurlers and generous parents who
helped to carry the morning. Bray fielded 3 teams, Glenealy, Carnew
and Kilcoole one each. A Gavin O'Shea lead Bray team, supported by
the hard work of Carla Lennon and others, beat Carnew. In another
top-notch encounter, Davy Maloney was the stand-out player against
Glenealy, a game which was sealed by a tenacious Joseph Dillon
goal. Other players to be noticed for their skilful contributions
were Nick Hederman, Oisín Carney and Gavin Henderson. The afters
were the final high-point, sandwiches, tea and goodies in
abundance. The visiting teams all complimented their Bray Emmets
morning.

Barndarrig Go Games | 8 May, 2009 |
A 9 player squad competed in the Barndarrig Go Games last Friday
night.
Seán McDonagh, Sarah Lambe, Rory Lambe, Michael Timmons, Gavin
O'Shea, Eoin Fitzsimons, David Nesbit, Conor Hardiman and Brian
Glass.
The squad played 3 very competitive games. The first against
Kilcoole, which Bray dominated. A great Brian Glass goal, powered
by fine players like Eoin Fitzsimons in midfield. The second game
against Avoca was a tough affair, capable strong footballers who
pounded the Bray defence. Rory Lambe blocked bravely while Gavin
O'Shea ensured we remained in touch. Energy levels were being
tested by the time we met Barndarrig. A well balanced team and a
tooth-and-nail exchange. Michael Timmons showed courage and loyalty
to his team mates while David Nesbit showed his silky skills.
Sarah Lambe, our only girl, kept the flag flying high with a
spirited performance.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh do Colm McDonagh, Rod O'Shea agus na
tuismitheoirí uilig a tháinig linn go dtí an Bhearna Dhearg.
