Senior Football

Well done to the senior footballers who dug out a hard-fought draw against Tinahely in Tinahely in the first round of the league on a scoreline of 1-11 each. Congratulations to the former minors who made their debut. Next match is on Friday night at home against Rathenw. Come along and see how we're shaping up.

U13 hurling 1st game

Bray emmets under thirteen hurlers played their first game of the division five Dublin hurling league against a well drilled Clontarf team in a soft pitch in St Anne's park.
Playing with a strong breeze in the first Bray settled quickly with Sam and Cathal providing good quick ball into the ever dangerous full forward line of Rory,Riain and Daniel. Not to be outdone the hard working half forward line of Brian and Aaron who both got good scores and the ever excellent Jack ensured Bray kept Clontarf on the back foot for much of the first half. Clontarf came more into the game as the half wore on but any attacks were repelled by the excellent half back line of Philip, Adam and Andrew. The fullback line of Daniel, Tadhg and the swashbuckling Aaron ensured that Ben in goal had a quiet first half. The introduction of Sebastian, Oscar and Luan did not weaken the team and Bray were a few goals ahead at half time.
Now playing into a freshening breeze Bray again got off to a good start with Sam scoring a number of frees. The expected onslaught from Clontarf materialised but excellent defending from Aaron, Adam, Tadhg, Luan,Daniel Cathal Andrew and Sebastian ensured scores were kept to two long range points. Ben with his huge puck outs ensured Bray got a stranglehold in the game as the half wore on with Philip, Brian and Sam tacking on a number of well worked scores. The hardworking  forward line of Aaron, Daniel, Rory, Riain, Oscar kept their direct opponents under huge pressure all the way through resulting in a great win on the team's first day out.
This was a great performance by all the squad which included a number of new players. The lads have been going well at training and hopefully it bodes well for the season.
Team: Ben, Aaron, Adam, Daniel, Tadhg, Andrew, Luan, Oscar, Sebastian, Sam, Jack, Philip, Aaron, Daniel, Rory, Cathal, Brian  and Riain.

U14 hurling 1st game
The Under 14 boys Hurling team had their first game in preparation for the Wicklow Féile on Friday night, 6th March. The opposition being Kilmacud Crokes, the game was of a very sporting, free-flowing nature. There were many fine displays from the younger 2002 players while the older 2001 lads had the benefits of last summer’s Féile under their belt. Training continues Wednesday night 7 – 8pm.
