Match reports

U13 Hurling
Bray Emmets Vs Erins isle
Bray Emmets under thirteen hurlers played their sixth game against Erins Isle in the Dublin hurling league on Friday night last in old conna.
Playing with a very strong breeze Bray settled quickly with Sam and Philip dominating midfield.
The half forward line of Rory , Daniel and Jack were getting on a lot of ball resulting in some excellent ball being played into the full forward line of Riain Daniel M and the ever dangerous Cathal. However the wind and quick pitch ensured that Bray's hard work wasn't being reflected on the scoreboard early on. Daniel F had to come off due to injury and was ably replaced by Peter. You may wonder what of the Bray defence, but such was the strength of the wind that the backline of Eoin , Sebastain, Tadhg, Adam, Zack and Aaron had a quiet first half with Ben restricted to one save and puck out. As the half wore on Bray's fine approach play paid off with a number of excellent (and a few fortunate) scores to have a good lead at half time.
Erins Isle started the second half well and scored two excellent points followed by two quick goals.
In the end Bray won handsomely but it was the way they played that was the most pleasing part of the night.
Team: Ben, Aaron, Adam, Tadhg, Sebastain, Zack, Eoin, Sam, Philip, Zack, Rory, Riain, Cathal, Daniel M,Daniel F and Peter.

U8 Girls Football Blitz- Roundwood
A large number of girls were at this all-county Blitz in a very windy Roundwood. We played 3 matches against Tinahely, St. Pats and Baltinglass. We got a bit of a footballing lesson in the first half against Tinehely but played much better against them in the 2nd half (although a goal from our Kate playing for them didn't help!) We came out flying against St. Pats though with goals from Lili, Kim and Kate and a much better effort across the whole team for the win. Another good performance against Baltinglass with more goals from Lily & Olivia, great defending from Ciara & Kimberly and a great save from Niamh to give us another win.
Foireann: Ciara Lambe, Kate Butler, Kimberly Kennedy, Lili Neilson, Naoise Sweeney McMaster, Niamh Canavan, Olivia Gibson, Orla Fitzsimons.
Banisteoir: Alan Kennedy

U10 Girls Football Blitz - Roundwood
We went up to Roundwood together with out U8 team for an all-county football blitz. We played 3 matches against Baltinglass, Newtown and  St. Pats. Again a number of our U10's were missing so it bodes well for us that our U9's can step up and play so well against stronger teams.
Baltinglass played very well and had two excellent players that we found difficult to stop. We only lost by a point to Newtown and had another close game against St. Pats but a much better team effort in both games. Goals from Zlsura & Jasmine kept us close and Ella did a great job in goal with Tara & Cara supporting her in defense.
Foireann: Cara Mahony, Ella Cummins, Emily Ryan, Katie Quinn, Laura Doyle, Lucy Gibson, Jasmine Kennedy, Niamh Clancy, Saibh Smierciak, Sibeal Quigley, Tara Maher
Banisteoirs: Tony Doyle & Lisa Mahony

U14 Camogie
Bray emmets Vs St Brigids, Castleknock
The U14 Camogie team played St Brigids, Castleknock, Sat 6 June in very gusty conditions in Russell Park. Bray played into the swirling wind in the first-half keeping a tidy and tight defence. Sara Davis, Shauna O’Kelly and Jordan O’Brien best displayed the Bray resolve.
The second-half was a welcome change of fortune. We had the wind at our backs, coupled with hungry graft from Lauren Healy, Rachel Messitt and Róisín Murphy in particular. The hurling flowed more freely and the Brigids rear-guard were plundered and pillaged. In the final analysis, Bray were victorious by (3-5) to (2-3). Bhí Anne Carroll agus Tomás sona sásta leis an toradh seo.

Foireann : Alice O’Doherty, Amy Butler, Eleanor Carroll-Hayes (Captaen, 0-3), Jordan O’Brien, Laura Butler (1-0), Lauren Healy, Leah Carroll (1-2), Rachel Messitt, Róisín Murphy, Saoirse Canavan, Sara Davis, Sarah Lambe (1-0), Shauna O’Kelly, Shauna Ryan (0-1), Sinéad Quigley, Úna Smierciak. Bainisteoir  -  Tomás Ó Midheach.
