Senior hurling/ Dublin League
Bray vs Cuala
Coming to the end of the Dublin League now with the last couple of matches, we welcomed our near neighbours Cuala to Bray in a crunch match to decide this Div 5 league. Cuala would be no strangers to our grounds and it was a bit like a home game for both teams.
The match itself turned out to be a cracker with Bray just edging it by the bare minimum, on a score line of 2.21 to 3.17. With Cuala making an explosive start and racing into a 2.3 to no score lead with only 10 minutes on the clock, however we settled in to the pace of the game and Tom Cash and seventeen year old Padraig Doyle knocking over some lovely scores, a cracking goal included to bring us right back into the game, the two McCormack brothers also chipped in with some fantastic scores,
Mark Lennon kicked a point from 30 yards straight over the bar and at half time the teams were level at 2.10 each. The second half again saw Cuala take the lead with a goal from Andrew Murphy and a point in quick succession but back we came point after point, Lorcan Pratt, Aron Murphy making a fine contributions from mid field, with the teams being level on several occasions it made for a cracking finish, and so it was Tom Cash put Bray ahead with two minutes to go, but great pressure by the Cuala boys Cillian Sheanan and Waldron forced Lorcan Pratt to over-carry and Waldron as he did for the whole game fired over the equaliser. Peter O’Reilly pucked out the ball with only seconds left to Peter Walsh who drilled it to Padraig Doyle and the youngster struck a monster point from right out on the sideline, this was the last play and the curtain came down on cracker. This game was played with full commitment and passion of a local derby, both teams left everything on the park, and roll on next year where both teams will meet again in Div 4.
With most of our senior team rested for Sunday when we play Castleknock or Plunketts in the Leinster club championship in Aughrim at 2.15 all your support would be greatly appreciated, best rgds Pat.Leinster Club Intermediate Championship
The senior hurlers were back in Aughrim on Sunday for the first round of the Leinster Club Intermediate Championship, blessed with the weather again, this team would be facing there toughest test so far this year, when they faced St Oliver Plunketts of Dublin. The Bray boys had an explosive start to this game and lead 6 points to no score with 8 mins on the clock, Padraig Doyle, Mikey Lee (2) Diarmuid Masterson and Christy Mooorehouse (2) getting off the mark, Plunketts settled a bit with two frees from Liam Corbett, but back came the Emmets, Paulie Cunningham, Mark Lennon, Aron Murphy with points for Bray and really we were in complete control of this game. Cian Boland the Dublin hurler and Plunketts go to man for scores, was been well marshalled by Luke Maloney, Mark Lennon and Diarmuid Masterson were running the show at midfield, and there was no way past the Henderson brothers, Daire and John, in the Half back line. Boland did manage a point coming up to half time but Mikey Lee sent over a bomb from the far side line to leave Bray 12 points to 5 ahead at the break.
The second half did see a big improvement in the Dublin side and they managed to score a goal and 2 points in the first ten minutes, the goal coming after a slight mix-up in the full back line and maybe we thought a free out had been awarded but instead Ronan O’Broin managed to stick the ball over Eoin Mason in the Bray goal, 1.7 to 12 and game on. Cathal O’Dulachain came on for Peter Walsh and Bray needed to settle and take a few scores having been guilty of a few bad misses. However a long ball into Christy Moorehouse, who gathered the ball, beat the corner back, squared it to Padraig Doyle and that man that just doesn’t score bad goals blasted it past Joseph McDonnell into the top of the Plunketts nett, 1.14 to 1.7 and seventeen minutes gone, Diarmuod Masterson had two long range frees over and Mikey Lee finished with three in a row from play giving Bray a very satisfying victory 1.18 to 1.9 and will face the Kilkenny champions Bennetts bridge, in Aughrim again in two weeks. Thanks to all the supporters who travelled down, the dream of a Leinster title is still alive and who Knows! with this bunch of lads improving with every game, we could be training over the Christmas!

Bray vs Erin's Isle
The u -13 hurlers finished their Dublin League season with a disappointing loss away to Erin’s Isle on Saturday 17/10/2015. The backs put in a characteristic battling display and were excellent all game, with stand-out performances from Eoin at corner back, Adam at centre back and especially Zack at wing back. Sam put in another excellent performance at midfield and scored 1-2. The pitch was very small, and the forwards each of whom was marked by a bigger and stronger opponent struggled to find any space to play, but played and tried to the final whistle. Final Score: Bray Emmets 1-3 , Erins Isle 4-10. Team: Ben, Eoin, Aaron, Luan, Tadhg, Adam, Zak, Philip, Sam, Daniel M, Brian, Andrew, Daniel F, Cathal, Rian, Cian F, Oscar, Gavin
This has been a good year for the 2002 Hurlers. They have all made good progress as hurlers and have been a great group to support and encourage each other. They showed great form in the league up to the summer break, but have been hit hard by injury and unavoidable absences since then. Special thanks to the 2003 hurlers who helped out when necessaryU16 B Championship Hurling Final
The U16 hurlers met Arklow Rocks in the ‘B’ championship final on Sat 24 October. The physically strong Arklow side were quickest out of the blocks, scoring three early goals – but by half-time Bray had pegged back their lead with Noah Cummins finding the net twice.
The second-half produced a higher tempo of hurling from both teams. Bray gave it their all, Ciarán McKay, Ben Kearney, Joe Phelan and Andrew Conway deserving of particular praise. In the final analysis, Arklow won by 4 points. Comhghairdeas leo agus le hiarrachtaí cróga Emmet Bhré.
