Our club hosted schools blitz for 1st to 6th classes in National Schools in Bray over three days in June. Each class had their separate blitz time, with first classes starting at 10am followed by second at 12.30pm until all classes had been completed. The blitz was organised by Garret Doyle, Wicklow GDA as part of the GAAs initiative to increase GAA activity in the larger towns. The logistics of transporting nearly 900 children from the different schools required the co-operation of all the schools and their teachers. The weather stayed fine and the boys/girls had an enjoyable time. Garrett had an excellent team of coaches to look after all the classes. We thank Garrett for organising the Blitz and look forward to assisting him with other events during the summer.
