Bray Emmets Academy Awards

Monday, June 27, 2011

On Saturday 25th June, the Academy Section brought the curtain down on their year, which began in September 2010, with their annual awards day in the club house. All the boys and girls received a certificate and a plaque for their participation in the Academy over the ten months. Our chairperson, Frances Stephenson, thanked all the boys and girls, their very dedicated coaches and the parents for their commitment over the ten months. The Academy Coaches will now have a deserved break until we resume in late August. The academy co-ordinator is Anne Healy and the group leaders are, John Mc Mahon, Niall Cunnane, Mossy Kelly, (2005), Gary Prunty, Mark Butler, Brendan Farrell, John Broderick, 2003/4).  They had assistance from many parents and our young coaches, Emily Stephenson, Jenny Ryan, Cathal O Dualleachain, Adam Conway, Daire Lohan and Joy Sparks. We would like to thank John Henderson for his advice and assistance during the year. Plans are already being put in place for the new academy season starting on 27th August where we would like to double the numbers attending.  We now have excellent facilities, with a full size GAA 3 G pitch, which is fully enclosed. We invite parents to bring your children to the academy in August to view our facilities and observe our coaching team.

Pictured below are the children from the Academy waiting to get their certs and awards..
