Senior hurlers V Avondale

Our Senior hurlers had a good win over Avondale in the league stage of the Senior Hurling championship in Greystones on Tuesday night last. Bray started very slowly in this game and for the early part of the first half Avondale appeared to be in control. As the game progressed, however we upped our game and steadily began to dominate. After the shaky early stages this was a good performance with an improved work-rate throughout the team. The backs were steady and apart from a few scary moments handled all Avondale had to offer. Darragh Moloney, our young goalie is getting more assured with each game while Ronan OBrien and Peter Kiely had a steadying influence down the centre. Our midfield steadily came into the game while upfront both corner-forwards, Mikey Lee and Christy Moorehouse lead the scoring with 1-7 and 0-8 respectively. Gearoid OMurchu contributed 0-3 when moved into the inside line in the second half.
The Final Score: Bray Emmets 1-19, Avondale 0-15
