Stratford-Grangecon

3 April, 2009

Bray Emmets 1.09 - Stratford-Grangecon 12pts.

Our men's senior team ended this game sharing the points with Stratford-Grangecon in a match that they should have won. Bray led by seven points, 1.07 to 3pts with ten minutes gone in the second half, but thereafter they lost their game plan.

Stratford/Grangecon stormed back into the match and scored some excellent points from play and frees.  They got the equalising point with literally the last kick of the game from a hotly disputed free in front of the posts. Bray only led at half time by 4pts to 2pts having played with the wind.  They had a great start to the second half scoring three points and a goal, which was scored by Stephen Fox. But a return of only two points for the rest of the game must leave the Bray management team of Pat Burke and Dave Barry disappointed. Scorers, Johnny Kinch 4pts, S. Fox 1gl, Conor Flannery 2pts, Alan Corr, Niall Mc Graynor, Paddy Moynihan 1pt each.

The next match is away to Donard/Glen on Sunday next 19.4 at 12miday.  (Please check time before travelling).
