Donard

The senior team travelled to Donard last Sunday morning and came away with another two valuable league points. It was a beautiful morning for football set in wonderful surroundings. The first quarter was very even where the exchanges were keen and the teams evenly balanced. Donard opted to play with the wind in the first half and took the game to Bray. Paul Cunningham opened the scoring for Bray with a well taken point from the right hand side of the field .Quick interplay between Niall MacGraynor, Stephen Fox and Paul saw the latter finish the ball to the net. Donard responded with some excellent point scoring and were soon back on level terms. A goal mouth scramble saw the ball come off the Donard keeper and into his own net. Minutes later we were awarded a penalty when Alan Corr was brought down in the square and Stephen Fox drove the ball hard and low into the back of the net. The score at half time was Bray 3-4 Donard 0-7
In the second half with the wind to their backs Bray stepped up their performance and it wasn't long before they got some crucial scores. Points from Johnny Kinch, Paddy Moynihane, Ray Lambe, Conor Flannery and a cool executed goal by Niall MacGraynor saw Bray finish the stronger and well deserved winners.
