League Game V Blessington

Bray Emmets 1.08 - Blessington 15pts

Our men's senior footballers travelled to play Blessington on Sat. 17.5 but didn't pick up any league points.  The game was a close affair although; with Blessington getting the better start and then the Emmet's having a period of dominance.  The Emmet's goal was set up by Rob Ryan and converted by the new full forward, Rory Breslin. 

The half-time score was 1.04 to 9pts. Losing Johnny Kinch, who was playing well at midfield, through an accidental injury early in the second half was a big loss to the team.  There was two points between the teams up to the last five minutes when Blessington added on two further points.  The Emmet's missed some good scoring opportunities at the end of the game.


 Best for the Emmets were Paul O Keefe, Conor Power, Sean Quinn, Ronan O Brien, Stephen Fox, Brian O Keefe, Rory Breslin. Scorers: J. Kinch 4pts, C. Flannery 3pts, R, Breslin 1gl and Des Kelly 1pt.
