Bray Emmets senior ladies went to Roundwood to play Blessington on Sunday afternoon for the 2nd round of the senior championship. Bray settled well and we had our first point within minutes. Blessington pulled ahead and we had to fight hard to get back on track. The afternoon was extremely hot and both teams found the going tough, loads of water needed. Bray had many chances in the first half but failed to put the scores on the board. Blessington went in 2 points up at the break, having scored a goal.
Bray came out for the 2nd half and soon we were in control of the game. Cathy Goulding got our first goal and with points from Sinead Boland, Aisling Ni Annaidh, Aoife Heffernan, Eadaoine Lenihan, And Niamh Ryan and a superb goal from Lisa Brady we put the game beyond Blessington. Great play from all the team. Well Done Girls!
