Blessington
14 April, 2008
The senior ladies were out against Blessington, the 2007 Wicklow champions, in the Wicklow league on Sunday in Old Conna. The team had won their first two matches of the year so were expected to give a good account of themselves despite missing a few key players. However the team started very poorly and were second best to a fitter and stronger Blessington side who were 10 points up at half time.
At that stage Bray had only one point to show for their efforts. In the second half there was a substantial improvement in play by the Bray team who showed a greater degree of purpose and urgency. They got the perfect tonic of an early goal and pushed on from there with some fine team-play but the poor first half display meant they were eventually beaten by five points.
