Junior Hurlers v Carnew Emmets: 3-10 to 1-7.
Quarter Final of Junior A Hurling C'ship in Arklow 7th August 2010.
We faced Carnew Emmets in the quarter final of junior championship last Sunday morning at Pearse Park, Arklow. After a one point victory over them recently in Bray this was going to be a tough encounter in the knock out stages of the A championship. A great first half performance from all fifteen men on the field and goals from Luke Maloney and Gearoid O Murchu meant we went in at half time with a lead of 2-6 to 0-5. Carnew came back stronger in second half but with Dara Maloney on song with frees and a second goal from O Muruchu we held onto our team and it finished 3:10 to 1:7. A great performance from all. Keep an eye on fixtures list over next two weeks for semi-final. Thanks for Pat Lee for taking the reins with Kieran and Brian working on their tans somewhere sunny.
