Junior Hurlers V Carnew Emmets

Emmet Bhre 3-10 Carnew Emmets 2-12.
The junior hurlers faced Carnew two weeks ago in their second last group game. With some mixed results to date this was a crunch game. The game was fought with great intensity at Old Connaught. Emmets went in at half time up by a slim margin with a goal from Emmet Fitzgerald nearing the end of the first half. After the break Carnew came back fighting and netted twice and lead at times. Goals from Nolan and then Gearoid Ó Murchú brought Bray back into it while the backs continued to fight. Keeper Daragh Maloney made a fine save to keep Bray within a few points. Ó Murchú took a brace of points and the game was level in the dying minutes with and equalising point from young Luke Maloney. Another point from Ó Murchú in the dying seconds gave Bray a well deserved win.
