Junior A's loose to Rathnew
3 May, 2011
On Tuesday 3rd May, the re-arranged game against Rathnew was a very close contest. Bray made a great start with a goal from John Walsh and the team played well until the last two minutes of the half, when they conceded two goals, which left the scores level at half time 2.03 each. The midfield pairing of Stephen Fox and Jonathon Scanlon gave Bray forwards a good supply of ball. The second half was score for score, with both sides guilty of missing chances. Bray brought on Adam Conway and Nicky Sweeney during the second half and seemed to be on the road to victory when they scored a goal and a point. But Rathnew rallied and led by a point with a minute to go when they were awarded a very fortuitous penalty, which they converted to win by 4pts. Despite losing, this was a good display by all the players. Team: Stephen Carton, Ed Keating, Paul Barry, Ciaran Doyle, Cormac Martin, Alan Corr, Gavin Cahill, Stephen Fox, Jonathon Scanlon. Niall Mc Cague, (1pt), Daire Lohan, Ray Lamb, (3pts), Liam Mc Graynor, John Walsh, (1.01), Declan Snow (1gl), Nicky Sweeney, (1gl), Adam Conway (1pt), Enda Molloy, David Sullivan, Fionn Crowley.
