Laragh
26 May, 2009
Our intermediate footballers who compete in Div 3 of the league had a comfortable victory over the home side Laragh on Tuesday 26th May. Laragh were short a number of their key players through injury and foreign travel, which didn't help their cause. Bray got off to a great start with goals from David Finn (1.05) and John Henderson,(1gl) who were both part of a good full forward line, with the experienced John Walsh (3pt). The midfield area was controlled by the Emmet's diamond of Seán O' Neill, Liam Mc Graynor (2pts) Jonathon Scanlon and Des Kelly (2pts).
Bray had a good lead at half time and had a third goal from Brendan Snow late in the game. Rory Breslin moved out from his goalkeeping position in the second half and Adrian Flannery took over from him. In the backs, Robbie McNamee, Maurice Doyle, Mark Mulvanney, Cillian Molloy, Conor Power (1pt) and Cormack Martin played well. Niall McCague (4pts) and Brendan Devitt, (3pts) also did well in the forwards. Our next game is at home against Kilmacanogue. Best wishes to all our players doing exams at this time. We look forward to having you all back playing next week.
