St Pats

On Sunday, 1st June in Old Connaught our Intermediate footballers lost by 3 points to St.Pats. 3-06 to 2-12. The Emmett's missed some very good scoring chances throughout the game which cost them dearly at the end. It was good to see more of our young players in action at this level and there were good contributions from Eoin Wogan, Conor Power, Niall Mc Cague, Declan Snow, David Haughton and Ross Murphy.
The half-time score was 1-05 to 1-04 in favour of St. Pats. The second half was a close affair but St. Pats got a fortuitous goal which was the difference between the teams at the end. The Emmett's had numerous attacking opportunities but failed to convert them into scores. Others to play well were, Maurice Doyle, Ciaran Doyle, Rory Breslin, John Walsh and Ross Mc Anaspie.
