Blessington

Bray Emmets 2.13 - Blessington 1.05.
Our intermediate footballers who compete in Div 3 of the league had a second victory when they won away to Blessington on Sat. 10.5. This was a great performance by the group of players that gave their commitment to this fixture. The mixture of youth and experience really seemed to work and hopefully this will now continue for the rest of the league. The scores were level at half-time, the Emmet's 6pts - Blessington 1.03. The Emmets had the benefit of a slight breeze in the second half, and killed of the game with goals from the youthful John Walsh and a real cracker from the experienced Niall Mc Cague!.
Niall, along with our other young guns, goalie, Stephen Carton, Eoin Wogan, Brendan Snow and Ross Murphy, all performed very well. There were other good performances from Maurice Doyle, Sean O Neill, Tony Denver, Rob Connaughton, Eamonn Furlong, John Walsh and our centre half forward Rory Breslin. Scorers: J.Walsh 1.03, E. Furlong 5pts, N. Mc Cague, 1.02, T. Denver 3pts. Our next league match is away to Coolboy.
