Baltinglass
23 August, 2008
Our Intermediate team played their 9th Divisions 3 League match in Baltinglass on Saturday. The result didn't go our way but the Bray players kept going when it would have been easier to lie down. They made every effort to thwart the home-side in difficult circumstances. Huge credit and a big thanks to all the players who were willing to travel on what was a miserable afternoon. One notable event did occurred, when an "avalanche" of Snow's lined out for Bray for the first time. They were Declan, Brendan and their much, much, much older brother(?) Gary. Well done to the Snow family on this achievement. The brave warrior on the day were: Ado Flannery, Conor Spillane, Mo Doyle, Mark Mulvaney, Ross Murphy, Eoghan Wogan, Declan Snow, Des Kelly, Barry Lyndsey, Brendan Snow, Niall McCague, Paul Doyle, Gary Snow, Ross McAnaspie and Chris Loy. Also thanks to Linda, Denis and Chris for their support. Our next match is in the 4th round of the Intermediate Championship on next Sunday, August 31st. The opposition are Knockananna and the venue is Arklow, with a throw-in time of 6:30. All support is welcome. A win here will put us in a strong position for a semi-final place, with one game remaining.
