On Saturday, June 7th, in the scenic Glenmalure Valley our Intermediate footballers had a great 5 point win against Ballinacor 3-11 to 0-15. Emmets got off to a flying start and went into a 5 point lead after 15mins. But the Bray lads then lost their way for the rest of the half and Ballinacor took control. The half-time score was 0-7 to 0-5 in favour of the men from the valley. Despite an early goal for Emmets in the second half, Ballinacor continued to dominate for the next 20 mins and led by 4 points at one stage. Emmets reduce the margin to a point before 2 more goals put them ahead and ended the Ballinacor challenge.
This was a great team effort with every player giving their all and showing great spirit in fighting back to gain two more valuable league points. Staring for Emmets were Mark Mulvaney, Conor Power, David Finn, Stephen Fox, Jamie Quaney, Johnny Kinch & Niall McCague,
