Senior Ladies loose out to St Pats

3 April, 2013

On Wednesday, 3rd April, the Ladies Senior Footballers played their third game of the season against St. Patricks Wicklow. Like the first two games of the campaign so far, Emmets struggled with numbers while St. Patricks could call on a panel of 25 players.  However, Bray’s cause was helped by the fact that we were allowed to play with our County players and hence, Eadaoine Lenihan togged out for her first Club game this year. Overall, this was a more productive performance as we passed the ball very well and played more as a team.  Our younger players, Lauren Barry, Aoife O’Donovan and Cliona Horgan have stepped up a notch on their playing skills and along with Siofra Heffernan and Cathy Waters have now made a mark on this developing Senior team.  Niamh Coleman kept us ticking over with a haul of nine points while Alisha Doyle kicked two goals and two points. Mikeala Shelly and Aoife Heffernan also scored a point a piece but in the end, St. Patricks emerged victorious with five points to spare.
Final Score: Bray Emmets 2–14 St Patricks 4–13.
