Leinster League V Rathoath

9 April, 2011

Our senior hurlers reached the knockout stage of the Leinster League after their victory over Rathoath from Meath in Emmet Park on Saturday last. This is another first for this team and shows the progress made over the past few years. Rathoath had shown good form in their earlier matches scoring 5 goals and over twenty points in beating Sallins comfortably. Bray started well with some early points from Christy Moorehouse and Liam Kenny. There was some good movement in the Bray side with good support play, something that has been absent to date. John Henderson had a good game at mid-field while Liam Kenny scored freely and also created many chances for other forwards. Gearoid OMurchu contributed some nice points while Christy Moorehouse picked off his usual share of points with an added goal. Tommy Hamill performed well when introduced and has obvious potential with more training.

There is clear potential in this team to develop further, something that will only be achieved through training and match practice.
