The Senior hurlers got their championship campaign off to a solid start with a 2:14 - 2:05 victory over Kilcoole in Arklow on Sunday.  It was a good reversal of last year's Billy Byrne Final result and will give the lads' confidence a good shot in the arm before facing Glenealy on May 20th in Greystones and Arklow Rocks the following Sunday (May 25th) before the football championship takes centre stage. As we state here regularly, this is a young team that needs support from the club membership on match day. Sunday saw Mark Breen and Lorcan Pratt introduced to senior hurling, and acquitting themselves well, and it would be great to see a large crowd of Bray Emmets club members out in Greystones on the 20th supporting them as the team takes on the county champions Glenealy.

Sunday's panel was: Paddy Millward; Danny Eglington; Peter Kiely; Tadhg O Broin; Michael Priest; Ronan O Brien; Paul Barry; Eoin Mason; Peter Walsh; Adrian Shanahan; Eamonn Furlong; William Nolan; Ed Keating; Liam Kenny; Bill Maher; Lorcan Pratt; Mark Breen.
