The Men's Junior football team got their Championship campaign
back on track with a victory against Stratford last Thursday the
16th. The game was played in Blessington, in very wet
conditions, but the rain did not dampen an evenly contested first
half, with some good scores from play from Sean Liddy and Mark
Nolan. Bray's only goal came from a cracker of a shot
from Dave Gilmore, and at half time Bray were ahead 1-6 to
0-5.After the second half Bray introduced Eoin Mason for Sean
Liddy, and Ross Masterson for James Talbot. Bray
conceded a very soft goal mid way through the second half, but Bray
battled on to eventual winners, with a score line of 1-10 to
1-7.
Over all it was a good team performance from the Bray team, and
Bray now top their Group on foot of this result.
The team lined out as follows, Tadgh Doran, Gavin Cahill, Rob
McNamee, Mark Nolan, Dan Molloy, Geoff Morrissey, James Talbot,
Alan Wallace, Jamie Queeney, Enda O'Maolmhuidh , Sean Liddy,
Cillian O'Maolmhuidh, Dave Sullivan Dave Gilmore, Johnny O'Leary,
Eoin Mason for Solidly, Ross Masterson for James Talbot, Stephen
Ebbs and Mark Mulvaney
There is training every Tuesday evening for the Junior football
panel at 7.00pm in Old Conna. New or not so new players are always
welcome.
